Design Service - Packages + Guideline

What we offer - guideline

To ensure we meet the variety of needs of our clientele, our design service offers a flexible pricing structure, on an hourly rate charge and the flexibility to work within your budget.  

 

We also offer small packages for those quick jobs.  You only pay for the time taken to produce your design(s).  This is great if you are unsure of how and where to start and need some guidance to focus your ideas and dreams.  Using our marketing and design background will help make this process easier for you.

THE PROCESS
We can get together for an in-depth discussion at the start of the process to develop a brief, identifying what the design or project is aimed to, its purpose, market etc.  This helps to focus on specific ideas, clarifying deadlines and also any budget restrictions that need to be taken into consideration.

Time spent in initial discussions / consultation is free of charge.  Dependant on the project, any subsequent time spent over and above this initial meeting would be charged thereafter at the nominal hourly rate.  This is decided on a case-by-case situation.

Once the brief and timeline is agreed upon, we will estimate the cost of the design work and arrange a time for when the artwork will be ready for proof read; we will also discuss printing options.

Artwork will now commence, whilst keeping the client informed of progress along the way.


UPDATE EXISTING ARTWORK
We can easily update your existing artwork, such as changing a telephone number or email address for reprinting.  This is only available when original artwork has either been produced by LoulouGdesign, or original artwork is provided to LoulougGdesign to update. 

If the file was created elsewhere, and no original artwork can be supplied, then it may need to be re-built, and would be calculated around the hourly design rate.  Minor alterations and changes are charged in 30 minute increments.

PROOFS AND OUTPUT

When the proof of your artwork is ready we will ask you to check it.  If you are happy that the design meets the instructions set, and that there are no errors, we can commence with printing. We will confirm the quantities you require for printing and advise you of the turnaround time. If changes need to be made, we can do those quickly and arrange for another proof to be supplied.

PRINTING

Prices quoted are subject to the final printing/output produced by LoulouGdesign.  If you would like to arrange your own printing, then please let us know at the start of the process, as some printers have differing requirements for artwork, and we will need these specifications before work commences.

If you decide to go through LoulouGdesign for printing, once printing has been completed, you will be notified so that you can collect your job, OR if required, we can organise a courier at a small additional charge.

GENERAL GUIDE NOTES

The hourly design rates do not include word processing or typing - if there is an excessive amount.  Large amounts will be charged at the hourly rate in addition to the design fee.   To save time and costs, text should be supplied on disc or CD in an editable file.

Specific image sourcing is not included in the hourly rates.  

 

This means;
- we may not be able to ‘find’ specific images that you require.  
- we may not be able to source images from the internet, due to low resolution      reproduction and / or copyright.

 

Therefore, we require that all specific images are supplied by hard copy for scanning, or electronically in CMYK format, and at a high resolution (eg. 300dpi).

All images (such as company logos) should be supplied on disc, hard copy or via an email attachment, preferably as .eps, .jpg or .tif files.  

 

There may be a charge for preparing the supplied artwork if it is not sent in press ready stage as per resolution and file types required.
